Vanessa Benedict (Sangaralingham) was born and raised in Oshawa, Ontario. In 1992 she moved to Kingston Ontario to earn a Honours BSc degree in Life Sciences and a minor degree in Psychology at Queen’s University. After graduating in 1996, Vanessa moved to Toronto where she has worked in the financial services sector for 13 years. Of these 13 years, Vanessa co-managed $100 million dollars in assets with another ScotiaMcLeod Advisor in Toronto for 9 years.In 2009 she left her office in Toronto to relocate her business to the Durham Region, where her office is now located in Whitby. Vanessa is a fully qualified Wealth Advisor who is licensed with both the |
Canadian Securities Commission and Insurance Commission. Vanessa has also completed her Certified Financial Planner Diploma.
In 2004 , Vanessa moved back to Oshawa to marry and be close to her family . Vanessa and her husband, Paul have 2 children, a four year old daugher and a 11 week old son. They are actively involved with their daughter’s school, United Way and participate annually in the St. Gregory Adopt a Family and Angel Tree Program. Vanessa is also a member of the Oshawa Chamber of Commerce and part of their Ambassador committee , as well she is a volunteer at the Oshawa Senior Citizen Centre .
